Privacy policy

This policy covers the website at areadna.ai. It is short because the site does very little: it is a set of static pages that sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third party.

Last updated July 28, 2026

Scope

This policy describes what happens when you visit areadna.ai or email us. It does not describe the areaDNA platform, sensors, or dashboards. Those are developed and operated by Ariadne Maps GmbH and are covered by its policy at ariadne.inc/privacy-policy. If you are a customer or a visitor to a venue where our sensors are deployed, that is the document that applies to you, not this one.

What this website does not do

These are properties of how the site is built, not promises about future versions. If any of them changes, this policy changes with it.

  • No cookies are set. The site does not use cookies for any purpose, including analytics or preferences, so there is no consent banner to dismiss.
  • No analytics or tracking. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no pixel, no session recording, and no advertising or cross-site tracking technology.
  • No third-party resources. Fonts, images, icons, and styles are all served from areadna.ai itself. Loading a page makes no request to any third-party domain, so no advertiser, analytics vendor, or social network receives your IP address through this site. The only company that sees the request is our host, Vercel Inc., because it serves the domain.
  • No forms and no accounts. There is nothing on the site to fill in, log into, or subscribe to. Every contact route is a plain email or telephone link that opens in your own application.
  • No profiling and no automated decision-making about you.

What we do process

Server log data. Like any website, serving a page involves our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., handling technical request data: your IP address, the time of the request, the page or file requested, the HTTP status, your browser's user agent, and the referring page if your browser sends one. This is a technical necessity for delivering the site and for keeping it secure and available. We do not use log data to build a profile of you, we do not combine it with other sources, and we do not try to identify you from it.

Email and telephone contact. If you email contact@areadna.ai or call us, we process what you send in order to answer you: your name, your email address or phone number, your organization if you mention it, and the content of your message. We use it to reply and to follow up on the conversation you started. We do not add you to a marketing list on the strength of a single inbound message.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure and available website (Article 6(1)(f)) for server log data, and on our legitimate interest in responding to an inquiry you initiated, or on the steps taken prior to entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)), for correspondence you send us. Where we ever rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that already happened.

Who else sees it

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States. Vercel Inc. processes server log data on our behalf as a processor under its Data Processing Addendum, which limits them to providing the hosting service and relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers. Their own privacy notice describes what they do as a company. Our email provider processes the messages you send us, on the same basis.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose it to anyone else except where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect our rights.

The platform, sensors, and dashboards are developed and operated by Ariadne Maps GmbH, in Germany. If your inquiry is about the platform itself rather than about us, we may pass it to them so the right person answers you. This can mean your message is transferred to the European Economic Area, which for US residents means a jurisdiction with a broadly stricter data protection regime than their own.

How long we keep it

Server logs are retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or aggregated. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the matter you raised and to meet our record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted. If you ask us to delete your correspondence sooner, we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to limit or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

California residents. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, you have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information and we do not collect sensitive personal information through this site, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the rights to know, delete, and correct still apply and we will honor them. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

EEA and UK residents. In addition to the rights above, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

To exercise any right, email contact@areadna.ai. We will respond within the period the applicable law requires. We may need to ask you for information to confirm who you are before we act, and we will only use what you give us for that purpose.

Children

This site is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because it holds no accounts, no database, and no submitted form data, there is no store of visitor personal information on it to breach. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send us anything confidential by unencrypted email.

Do Not Track

Browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. There is no consensus standard for responding to it. We do not track you across sites in the first place, so the signal makes no difference to how this site behaves.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is material, for example if we ever introduce analytics or a contact form, we will say so clearly rather than rely on a silent edit.
